Hurricane Sandy

I'm sure there are many students ready this that are happy to be home today so thank you Sandy, for the hurricane day. So far this storm has been pretty calm at my house. Now that I have said that out loud I'm sure the worst will come. I'm just thankful that we still have power. I am spending my day catching up on school work. What are you doing during the storm?

It was a great day to catch up on a lot of stuff considering we couldn't step outside! I finished up my college applications. Now awaiting the answers!

I am so thankful that my power didn't go out! That would have been a real bummer.

I was browsing through my news feeds and saw this posted as a featured sight. After looking into it i figured that this article and pictures are true captions of the devastation left by hurricane sandy. http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2012/11/hurricane-sandy-the-aftermath/100397/ and if the link is broken try clicking my name, i added the url to it too.

I spent my day off catching up on homework and sleeping til noon! It was a day of much needed rest. I also was constantly checking storm updates and hoping Gov. Patrick would cancel schools another day.

I think that the governor certainly let us students down by allowing the decision to have or not have school to be made locally. I wish he was on our side! I was depending on him.

If only he had kept the class of 2013 seniors in mind when he was making his decision. His decision was really the icing on the cake.

I was so nervous this day! I take an online class, and all the work was due that night. I kept thinking that if the power went out, I wouldn't have been able to turn in any of my work!
