Christmas TV Specials have begun

Since Thanksgiving has come and gone it is now time for Christmas! Tonight we have lots of Christmas specials on TV. I am a little upset that there are 3 good ones on all at the same time. ABC has Santa Clause is coming to town, CBS has Frosty the Snowman and NBC has How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I will have to set the DVR. Next week Rudolph is on CBS Tuesday night and then on Thursday night at 8pm ABC has  A Charlie Brown Christmas and following that there is the Disney Christmas special. Unfortunately I will miss both of those as I will be on a plane headed to Disney World. This is my favorite time of there for television. I look forward to watching everything. I will keep you posted of when the classics will be on television.

Tis the season

Do enjoy watching the once a year specials on television? I certainly do! I always look forward to the Christmas specials and they are about to start. Freeform channel is starting tomorrow morning at 7am with Nightmare before Christmas. The specials continue all day and include "The year without a Santa Clause", "Disney Christmas Carol" and "home alone." As the holiday gets closer I will check all the websites that list when the specials are on TV and I will post the schedule here on my blog. I am sure all the networks will start showing Christmas specials once Thanksgiving is over. and don't forget to watch "Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" on November 22nd at 8pm on ABC.

Winter is coming

Are you ready? Friday we will get our first taste of winter. The projected high temperature of the day is 32 degrees. We may hit record low temperatures according to WBZ

When I hear about cold temperatures all I can think about is SNOW.  so now I will start searching all weather sites looking for some snow for our area.

There is a facebook page "southern new england severe weather" and they are talking about a storm the weekend before Thanksgiving that could be a wintry mix. I'll keep you posted.

Enjoy your veteran's day weekend! Thank you to all the men and women serve, including my son and several of my former students.

on to the next Holiday

So Halloween is over and now we should be thinking of Thanksgiving. Unfortunately most people forget about this holiday and go straight to Christmas. I am thinking about Christmas as I start to do some shopping but my house is decorated for Thanksgiving not Christmas. one of my favorite things about the holiday season is watching the television specials. Not many for Thanksgiving though. We have A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on ABC the night before Thanksgiving and then the Macy's day parade on Thanksgiving day. I always enjoy watching some classic "Friends" episodes dealing with Thanksgiving. Love the episode when Joey gets the turkey stuck on his head.
