The end of a great year

Can you believe it? June is right around the corner. I need a little more time in the school year to finish everything I want to do. Don't you want to extend the year school by a week or two? I guess I will have to accept the fact that I have to leave some things for next year. At the end of each school year I reflect on how things went all year. What I did that went well, and what needs to be changed for next year. Here is your chance to make a difference....What should be done differently in Pre-Calc next year? I know I will use the smartview software more. I will make sure I don't forget that we have it. I am going to show the students the little calculator tricks at the beginning of the year instead of at the end. (sorry!) I never thought to ask if you knew the little things like recalling a previous answer. I believe the students will benefit from more frequent notebook quizzes so I will make that change as well. Now it is your turn to tell me what you think. What would have made the class better for you? You should reflect about your school year. Did you try you best? If not, what will you do differently next year? Make the most out of your senior year because you only get one high school senior year. Enjoy your summer. I know I will. You will find me poolside just about every day.

I can't believe it's almost summer already. I wish I could say how much I'm going to miss this school year, but that would be a lie. There were some cool people and some good times, but overall it was just a lot of work. I'm looking forward to a long break. Pre-Calc was one of my favorite classes this year. I really learned a lot and Mrs. Taylor is the best math teacher ever.

The end of the year is coming up so fast! Of course, I'm excited for summer, but now that I am facing about 4 projects, all due at the same, plus written finals...I kind of am wishing there were a couple more weeks left, like Mrs. Taylor.

As for Pre-Calc, learning the calculator tricks would definitely be helpful! Next year's students should absolutely keep track of their formula sheets. Watch more NUMB3RS!!! Also, one thing that I know won't change, but still drove me nuts, is the fact that tests are cumulative! I think for the most part, I had a good year in this class, but I am a little apprehensive about calculus next year. Good luck to everyone on all their finals!

um, no i can't say that i do want to extend the school year by a week or two, but this year of pre-calc was good, i understood everything quick and well, and i wouldnt change anything about it. and about trying my best all year, well no not at all, but im tryin harder to get a good grade now.

I'm gonna have to go with sargent and rockwell by saying that I do not wish the school year was a couple of weeks longer. School has reached that point in the year at which my mind starts powering down. I don't think I could handle any more school work.

As for pre-calc, I have to say that, although it was a challange, I really enjoyed the class. The work load took some getting used to but was manageable. I think the most difficult part of the class for me was that we were quized and tested immediately after we learned the material. I enjoyed the challange and I appreciate all the effort Mrs. Taylor put into our class.

i agree will kayla we should have deffinately watched more NUMB3RS! but i will say that the work load was manageable for me so dont change that. why not just add more work... i dont care cuz i'm not takeing the class next year, make the class of 2010 work really hard!

Honestly, the end of the year cant come soon enough. Im so ready for summer, this year has been more work than Ive ever had to do, and summer is going to be a nice break from everything.
Precalac was one of my favorite classes. Like Kayla said, having the students start early, and keep track of their formula sheet is absolutely vital. Right now, it is by far the most valuble resource I have when doing random problems from months ago. While everyone has days where they slack, I think I worked very hard all year and hope to continue that next year in Calc.

Like Ben, if i said im going to miss school, it would be a lie. It was a great year! thats for sure, but i cannot wait for summer to begin.

This class was really fun and definitely one of my favorites. For next year, more numb3ers would be nice. The smartboard makes is so that you really dont have change much from year to year. Getting more helpful programs for it is the most i can think of to change the class.

Like Kelly said, I'm pretty much ready for summer. And I will probably keep my formula sheet. I think precalc, although sometimes confusing, was a relaxing class that most people looked forward to.

Like kayla and kelly pre calc was one of my favorite classes. It is a challenge for me but i still enjoy it and i think mrs.taylor is the best math teacher i have ever had. Knowing more calculator tricks will probably be a great help. im not too savvy with my calculator. I didnt mind the accumulative tests, it kept you spect more prepared for the midterm and final, and gave you second chances on certain problems.

Like Calley I also seem to have a case of senioritis. I can't wait until the school year is over. This year has been one of the hardest school years for me so far. Although I have enjoyed pre-calculus. For me the class was both easy and challenging, the perfect combination. Numb3rs was fun also! I am looking forward to our next year at highschool as seniors.

Like Jackie and Kayla and Kelly, Precalc was one of my favorite classes. I like that we are learning some calculus stuff right now, so we get an intro to what we have to do next year. I also agree with Matt about watching Numb3rs to see how math is used in in everyday life. About the school year, I hope that next year will be a bit easier in terms of adjusting to the amount of coursework.

Like most people have said, Pre Calc was one of my favorite classes. It was a challenge at times but it was worth it. I can't say that I wish school was going to be two extra weeks, I am so ready for summer to be here. Finals can't come soon enough. The one thing that stinks coming to the end of the year is that some teachers decide to give a lot of homework and projects to do when there is only a few weeks left.

I agree with Kelley and Kayla about keeping formula sheets from the beginning of the year. It really helps to be able to have everything in one spot.

I'll be your student next year and I must say that learning all the calculator tricks would be INSANELY useful. I learned a few things from Ms. Nastri this year, but I'm sure I still have much to learn.

I also REALLY love notebook quizzes so that will be a great thing for my class. I take extensive notes, so that will be a great way to keep my grade up.

I'm looking forward to the fall!

What I found really helpful this year were the review sheets on Edline. I also enjoyed the extra credit worksheets, especially the puzzling ones. Like pretty much everyone else, Numb3rs was one of my favorite parts of the class!
I think Mrs. Taylor runs the class very well so there isn't anything I would change ...the only thing I can think of would be to make candy cheaper! :)

-Who is Manda and why does she love notebook quizes?
- but i am very excited about summer and not so excited about finals
-this final looks to be very fair, and i feel like as long as i study well i'll do fine

I thought overall this year went pretty good in Pre calc. Like Kayla said, it would have been alot easier if i had kept track of all my formula sheets. I would have loved to learn all those shortcuts at the beginning of the year instead of a few weeks ago but i survived without them. I think more notebook quizzes are a good idea because they're an easy way to keep your grade up. Like everyone else i'm definatly looking forward to summer!

Well, I will probably just end up repeating everything everyone else said already. This class was a good class, even though it was challenging at times. Junior year is a tough year, but it is always good in the end. I think Mrs. Taylor is a great teacher, she structures every class and explains everything, plus she always has a smile and a positive attitude. Some tips is definitely keep the formula sheet accumulative, (like Kelly and Kayla said), and more NUMB3ERS is always fun. Although we had quizzes right after we learned the material, that was good because it was challenging. Notebook quizzes are always good. I cannot wait for summer, I feel like I will be able to do so much and have a blast. I am glad I am writing this at a time amidst finals because I know there is an end in sight but I am still trying to keep myself motivated to do well and end the year on a good note.

As Kelly and MAtt said, this year has been a lot of hard work. With the AP and honors classes i had a TON of homework and projects all year. I can't say i would want the school year extended because as of rightnow i am soo done with school; actually i think i have been done for a while now :]
I am looking forward to the summer and a break from homework and school
mrs talyor is an amazing teacher because, like bri said, she is alaways positive and hasa smile on
Pre-calc was one of my most enjoyable classes and i dont think you should change anything. Just remind kinds inthe beginning to keepup with thier formula sheet because that becomes one of the most useful tools
Can't wait for Summer! only a few days left :D
