Great Time




Another fun filled day of math at Six Flags. I hope my students enjoyed themselves. Don't forget to send me any pics you have from the day. I will make a movie to show in class next week.

well the real fun was at the 5k run sunday, i ran it in a respective 25 minutes 10 seconds 43rd place overall quite pleased with myself as you can imagine

Nice job Andrew. i have to agree that Sunday's race was a good time. I wish I could have stayed around longer but I had to get to the cape for my nephew's first communion.

I've heard that Six Flags was great. I know I would have had a lot of fun, and I am a little upset that softball got in the way, but I had a good time at school that day too. The 6 of us in the library got the packet done really quick, and the whole rest of my day was easy because all of the people in my classes were gone. Haha.

I wish that I had taken pictures at Six Flags! It was so much fun, even though it was a little misty. I agree with Chad that it's a shame some people couldn't go because of sports and things like that. I wish everyone could have gone!

Are we going to still be incorrporating the windows movie maker into classes? or is it not on any of the computers in school? i think it be awsome to learn how to put a slide show together useing music and movies!

Even though i did not go to Six Flags (because I hate amusement parks), many people told me that they had a lot of fun. The slide show of pics seemed nice :)

I hope everyone had a great time at Six Flags! :) I wish I could have gone but I was in California. While we were there we did get to visit Knott's Berry Farm which is similar to Six Flags. The Six Flags field trip is my favorite one I've been on. Thanks Mrs. Taylor for finding Math Day and taking us!

Yeah I agree Joe, that guy in the picture is really creepy. I think the reason for Six Flag's decline in business is due to that guy scaring everyone away!

One School One Book

I have been reading the book "The Day the World Came to Town" and something is on my mind that I have to share with everyone. Can you believe how incredibly generous and trusting the people in Gander are? I would like to think that I would be the same, but I am not sure. I know that I would definately bring supplies to where ever the people were being placed, but I am not sure that I would open my house up to strangers. I couldn't get over how people were invited into the homes to take showers and the home owners would leave the house and tell them to make themselves at home. I would like to think that I could be that way, but I am not sure I would. What about you? Could you be that trusting of stangers?

What are you reading?

Have you read any good books lately? I am trying to find a great book for the incoming freshmen to read over the summer. The current freshmen class read "The Number Devil", but they didn't like that choice so I am trying to find something more enjoyable for the students. Right now I am reading "October Sky" by Homer Hickham. I am only 60 pages into the book, but I am enjoying the little that I have read. I would like to hear about any books that you have read and would recommend.
