Semi Formal


Last night I went to the semi formal and as usual I had a great time. I love to see all my students dressed up so nice. As I walked in the door I was right in front of the dance floor and I don't think any girl was wearing shoes. You girls are crazy walking around barefoot in a public place, but it looked like everyone was having the best time. Makes me wish there were more events like this. Now I have to wait until the spring to come and see everyone at the prom. Anyone know the date of the prom? Well I am looking forward to it. I'm glad everyone had so much fun last night and I am so glad I was invited. Make sure you view my photo album to the left with all my pictures.

The Semi was a ton of fun! I am slgihtly embarassed by our vice-principal, but at least he knows how to have a good time.

Semi was a great time. The hotel was really nice and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Now I can't wait for prom either. I think the date is May 9th. From what I've heard from the prom committee its going to be beautiful.

Its may 9th. If I am wrong Kevin will come after me haha. And it is the day after the US AP exam so that sould be exciting.

i also had a great time at semi! it was so much fun! prom, by the way, is may 9th! i had my shoes off too which i totally think is gross but i forgot to bring flipflops to wear! Can't wait till the next dance! :D

Semi was soo fun! I took my shoes off and all night my feet got steped on :( but it was still a really fun time and i cant wait till prom!

I had such a good time at semi, it was so fun! And I do agree that walking around barefoot there was kind of gross, but if I didn't take off my shoes my feet would have hurt so much. I think next time I might bring flipflips like Nicolette because my feet were really dirty by the end of the night haha. I am so excited for prom.

I had a ton of fun at Semi. (and to think i wasnt going to go!!) and i totally agree with Brad about the whole "embarassed by our vice-principal" thing. I got a giggle out of seeing him. Its nice to see everyone having a good time.

I cannot wait for Prom. It will be awesome!!!!!

Semi was sick. I was wicked tired by the end of it though.

I really enjoyed Semi too. Everyone had fun and got some laughs watching the teachers dance. I'll definitely be looking forward to prom!

I had such a great time at semi! And I did take my shoes off like most of the other girls but heels are hard to dance in. I can't wait until prom I'm sure it will be just as fun as semi.

I had so much fun at semi! I think it would be crazier to leave my shoes on though...I would rather have dirty feet then giant blisters! haha And unlike everyone else, I am not embaressed by Mr. Barth...I give him lots of credit for not being afraid to dance! lol he showed me some pretty sick moves ahaha :) May 9th will be even better <3333

I agree that Rhodes seems like a really nice place! It's pretty sad that I've never actually been to any school dances. I want to go to prom though!

ok Rhdoes, for all of you that dont know and SHOULD know....Rhodes on the Pawtuxet is our prom venue in Cranston Rhode Island. The date is May 9th, from 7-11pm, and our theme is Grecian Gardens. Andrew, thanks for the shoutout, but I really have to give it up to Kim, Aaron, Priya, the delegates, advisors, and everyone IN the class of 2010 :D

Thanks Kevin! I can not wait for prom!! And, as for semi, it was the best time! I felt like all the students at semi were so comfortable with eachother. When everyone started to dance around the whole place to "I Like to Move It" was the best ever!

...I love walking around with no shoes because sometimes they get so uncomfortable!! (:

One School One Book

I have been reading the book "The Day the World Came to Town" and something is on my mind that I have to share with everyone. Can you believe how incredibly generous and trusting the people in Gander are? I would like to think that I would be the same, but I am not sure. I know that I would definately bring supplies to where ever the people were being placed, but I am not sure that I would open my house up to strangers. I couldn't get over how people were invited into the homes to take showers and the home owners would leave the house and tell them to make themselves at home. I would like to think that I could be that way, but I am not sure I would. What about you? Could you be that trusting of stangers?

What are you reading?

Have you read any good books lately? I am trying to find a great book for the incoming freshmen to read over the summer. The current freshmen class read "The Number Devil", but they didn't like that choice so I am trying to find something more enjoyable for the students. Right now I am reading "October Sky" by Homer Hickham. I am only 60 pages into the book, but I am enjoying the little that I have read. I would like to hear about any books that you have read and would recommend.
