Favorite Time of the Year


What is your favorite time of the year? Is it Summer when you are out of school and the weather is wonderful? Not Me. I'm not saying I dislike the summer, because I don't, but it is not my favorite time. We are coming up to my favorite part of the year. I love the holiday season. I love the holidays and the cold weather especially when we get snow (and snow days!). I enjoy all the holiday specials on TV and I enjoy the music. The only problem with this time of year is that I have too much to do. I get so excited about the holidays and the shopping that my school work tends to take a back seat and that is not a wise choice to make. I will have to make a conscious effort this year to keep up with the school work. If I start slacking I am sure my students will let me know.

i agree i like winter wayyy better than the summer for one simple reason. lets look at this logically. in the summer its hot and in the winter its cold. when its hot you can only take so many things off before well you know.... but when it is cold out you can always put more things on to be comfortable.

I have two favorite times of the year. One is right when we come back to school. Everyone is in such a great mood and the weather is just right! My second is obviously the summer. I love staying out late and not having to worry about what time I need to get up the morning, (usually).

I think winter is the best time of the year. I like seeing family on Christmas since some of my relatives live far away so I only see them once or twice a year. Also, I love the snow and of course snow days are awesome! Going snowboarding or skiing is always fun too! :)

The best time of the year for me is fall. My birthday is in November and of course...Thanksgiving!! Fall also has the perfect weather..not too hot and not too cold.

I love right now, or a few days ago. I like the fall when it is just that right temperature and then it my birthday. But I love the fall because it is the perfect time to go golfing...usually.

My favorite time of the year is definately the summer. I love how stress free the summer is and agree with Kevin that it is great to be able to stay out late and sleep in. I also like winter, but only at the beginning, around Christmas time. After January, I'm done with all the snow and cold and ready for Spring.

I HATE WINTER! hahaha, but because global warming is going to diminish snow forever i am trying to enjoy snow while it still exists! i just do not like being cold and love the summer! driving aroudn with friends with the windows down is the best! i can't wait till summmer! but i do loooooooveee a white christmas!

I like the summer, but I do enjoy wintertime. My birthday is in January, but that's not the only reason why I like winter. Newly fallen snow looks so beautiful, and during the Christmas season everyone is happy and cheerful. However, I'm not able to fully enjoy the holidays because of school work and other responsibilities, which is why I also like summer where you don't have too many responsibilities. I agree with Kevin that you don't really have to worry about getting up at a certain time to go to school during the summer.

My favorite time of the year is the winter. I love snowboarding during the winter and spending time with my family during Thanksgiving and Christmas. I like summer a lot too, but nothing compares to winter.

My favorite time of year is spring. The weather is nice, not too hot or cold, but also their is no yard work that needs to be done.

My favorite season is definitely summer. I love being able to go to the cape and I agree with Kevin, being able to stay out late and sleep in is a good thing. I don't really like the cold, but skiing is fun and I love Christmas!

I love the winter so much more than I love the summer. I love snuggling under a thousand layers of blankets, while trying to fall asleep. I love warm drinks, and I, like Marie, love seeing the sight of newly fallen snow!!

I like the winter because i LOVE christmas movies that are always on tv! But i really dont like how winter is really cold, i mean i love snow but i dont like how it makes you freezing! I think my favorite time of the year is spring!

I have got to say that the fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. Early fall is so perfect here in New England. Not only is it the right temperature, but the colors outside are absolutely beautiful.

I think my favorite time of year is fall. I love the changing leaves and ,like everyone else has said, the perfect weather. Winter is nice too though. I miss the massive amounts of snow that I used to get when I lived in Buffalo. A fresh snowfall is always soo pretty. I dislike spring the most though. Its always rainy and dreary.

Don't worry Mrs. Taylor, we'll make sure u stay up to date on our work. I prefer fall. Its cool but not cold. the colored leaves make the town looks so nice, and football is just starting! And of course fall is (i think) the best time for paintballin.

My favorite time of year is spring. i love when the flowers start to bloom and when the weather is a perfect temperature. its not to hot and not to cold. also my birthdays in the spring. i dont like the rain very much but i get over it. i also like winter too because like carolyn i love snuggling under blankets, and watching the snow fall.

I love the holiday season and it is probably my second favorite time of year. But for me nothing beats summer. I love not having the responsibility of homework and being able to stay out all night and sleep all day. Not to mention the beach!

As probably the majority of students would say, summer is my favorite time of the year. You can stay up late, go to the beach, swim in the pool, go golfing, and, most importantly, no school! However, I do agree with Sam and Caroline as far as doing things like snowboarding and seeing family during the holidays in the winter. Each season has its own uniqueness that is suitable for certain activities.

I love the summer...pretty much I just live in my pool...and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love being stress free and being able to do whatever I want any day. I love summer concerts and parties and going to the beach! Winter is fun, especially for the holidays, but sometimes with sports and school work and everything else its hard to enjoy it. Maybe Nicolette's right though, we should enjoy snow while we still have it haha :)

I agree with dean all the way. I love the spring and summer the best. In the spring, the weather is perfect and comfortable, and in the summer, i have ballet intensive, which is amazingly fun, and there is pretty much no worries in waking up or doing projects, homework, etc.
Although i do have to say that the holiday season is great, too, becuase of all of the happiness and cheer!

I like winter the best, but fall is a close second. I agree with Taylor about how pretty it is when leaves start changing colors. Also, I like the weather in the fall because it's not hot, but it's not freezing either.

Tom was right it! We had the first snow today (: Although winter isn't my favorite season I love the first snow. Everything is white and pretty and it makes everything look so peaceful.

Best part about winter is waking up and seeing just enough snow to cover everything but not so much to the point where its a pain to shovel. The worst part of winter is when it starts to shift to spring because by that point theres so much dirt, sand, and salt on the ground thats mixed in with the iced snow and then it all melts and makes everything so muddy.

I was so excited when we got our first snow! Last year it barely snowed at all, so I'm hoping for more this year and maybe we'll get a few snow days :) I agree with Dean that having to shovel a ton of snow is not fun, but just a light layer is really pretty.

One School One Book

I have been reading the book "The Day the World Came to Town" and something is on my mind that I have to share with everyone. Can you believe how incredibly generous and trusting the people in Gander are? I would like to think that I would be the same, but I am not sure. I know that I would definately bring supplies to where ever the people were being placed, but I am not sure that I would open my house up to strangers. I couldn't get over how people were invited into the homes to take showers and the home owners would leave the house and tell them to make themselves at home. I would like to think that I could be that way, but I am not sure I would. What about you? Could you be that trusting of stangers?

What are you reading?

Have you read any good books lately? I am trying to find a great book for the incoming freshmen to read over the summer. The current freshmen class read "The Number Devil", but they didn't like that choice so I am trying to find something more enjoyable for the students. Right now I am reading "October Sky" by Homer Hickham. I am only 60 pages into the book, but I am enjoying the little that I have read. I would like to hear about any books that you have read and would recommend.
