September
Wow, the first week of school is over. Anyone else tired? It was a short week and I am so tired. I'm ready to go to bed for the night and it is only 6:30. This happens to me every year. My body is so used to being relaxed all the time and now I am on the go from 5:45am until this time at night. I shouldn't be complaining because most teenagers, if they are anything like my children, are on the go more than me. My daughter gets off the school bus at 3:00, does homework, eats dinner and is back at school for color guard by 5pm. She gets home from that at 9pm and goes back to homework. Hopefully is asleep by 11:00 only to get up at 6am and start all over again. Thank goodness the youth have so much energy. I need a little energy myself right now to go outside and pick up all the small items that may blow away when the storm Hanna comes through this area tomorrow. One thing you may not know about me is that I love the weather. I watch the weather channel for fun and I check www.weather.com at least twice a day. It is more like twice every hour when there is a storm coming. Weather has many connections with math so I guess it makes sense that I am fascinated with it. I wonder what things fascinate my students? Why don't you let me know.

Cool, I really like having a sweet thunderstorm once in a while! When one is coming, believe me, I stay updated on it. If the storm seems severe enough, I get my camera out and record some of it. I have actually gotten some really cool shots of lightning bolts! If there is a place to share these I will be more than happy to. When I was really little I wanted to be a weatherman, but not anymore.
To be completely random, my most recent fascination relates to school and how well my classmates and I manage our time. We all know time management, especially in high school, is very important. Talking to many different people about hobbies, sports, clubs, and such, I was fascinated by the way my classmates manage to finish important school work while also joining a sport team or joining a school club or watching their favorite show or playing an instrument. I think it's pretty sweet!
To comment on Kev's blog, I got hypnotised at the school hypnotist show last year! Haha!

I also love the weather. It's so interesting as to how it changes, and I absolutely love thunder storms (as long as they're not dangerous). I think they're extremely calming.
And to comment on kevin's comment, hypnosis is really cool and it seems very interesting, but I'm to scared to let someone hypnotise me haha!

Oh, by the way, you're not fooling anyone Dean.
And I really enjoy weather, too. I love the smell of rain and snow. I'm not a fan of the cold, but I guess I'll have to deal with it consider I live in New England!
And I hope you're feeling better Mrs. Taylor! We're all here for you if you need anything!

I am fascinated by how different peoples brains can function, like how I could spand any day do a nice big puzzle and other people would say that that is the last thing that they would ever do with their free time.

I also have to agree with Elizabeth Faxon and say that people do really fascinate me. Each person's dreams and aspirations in life are interesting and its good to see the different ways of their approaching them.
