I was just watching NESN clubhouse and I think I have an idea for a field trip. The show did a segment about the perfect hit has the ball leave the bat at 30 - 45 degree angle with the ground and there was some discussion about hit velocity. At some point during the year the advanced math class will do a unit on math in sports. when working on that unit we should go to UMass Lowell and visit the Baseball Research Center. I will contact the center and see about field trips.
