School Administration

I wonder if you realize how lucky we are here in Norton? We have two administrators that really care about the school community. Whenever a school activity is going on we always see Mr Dewar or Mr. Barth here supporting and cheering the students. Dr. Ansay attends events as well. I want you to know that it is not like that at every school. I have been dissappointed with the principal at my daughters school about that.
I spent most of my weekend at my daughter's colorguard competitions. Saturday they won the state championship and Sunday they got the gold medal at the New England Championships. They are having a rally Tuesday night because Wednesday morning they are leaving for Ohio to compete for the National championship. Going to all of her competitions has made me realize that we have such a wonderful administration here in Norton. My daughter is a freshmen in high school and she has had many home shows for colorguard and I have never seen her school administrator at these. Last year the team qualified for the national championship and had a rally show the night before they left and their principal was not there so I don't expect to see her this week either.
I just want to let everyone know that we are lucky to have a principal and vice principal that are always showing us their support. I wish my daughter had that at her high school.

I have also noticed how extraordinary and unique our administrators are. They are always involved and supportive. They are really chill and laid-back and will usually go for anything.

It really is amazing how much support you feel from the principals at our school. Mr. Barth and Mr. Dewar are always at school events and involved which is really cool. I feel that is the way a school should be ran otherwise there really is no school its just a place where a "principal" works.

Like Emma and Kayla I too have noticed how envolved our administration gets. I always see them at my games however when we are away we dont usually see any of the other schools administration at the games. We are lucky to have people that car about our entire school at the helm.

I also how our administrators make every effort to improve our school. They interact with students at lunch, do walk-throughs, and attend and participate in school activities. They both have odd and humorous personalities, but that makes them unique, like Kayla said.

Mr. Dewar and Mr. Barth are really great guys, as odd as they get, you gotta love them. They are really Involved(not envolved, ricky) with our school and i think thats great. Mr. barth was at my tennis match on monday and i thought it was nice of him to come and support the team.

Like everyone else said, the administrators are really supportive and come to a lot of school events. Its nice to see that they care about the school enough to give up some of their free time.

I never really took into consideration that our administrators are present at all of our after school events. Now that I think about it, either Mr. Dewar or Mr. Barth is always at attendance at every event. Like Emma said, they make us feel very supported.

That comment above is by Casey. I forgot to sign it.

I like Casey hadn't really thought about our administration till you brought it up. But now that I am I have to agree with Michelle they are constantly interacting with students during walk throughs and especially in lunch. They both joke and talk to us and that personality as Kayla put it makes for an excellent school environment.

Mr. Dewar and Mr. Barth are really cool and they relate to us. Like Hillary said, they're always joking. Just the other day, Mr. Barth asked something of a student. After she promised, he put his fist out and said, in all seriousness, "Pound it....That's like blood to me." He may be corny, but Mr. Barth is an original!

Hillary is right, Mr. Barth is corny, yet original. Like when i absolutely obliterated Sean Ryan in a race and rubbed it in his face with a series of arrogant gestures, Mr. Barth was genuinely interested in the race and it's victor, me.

Like Hillary and Casey, I also never really thought about Mr Dewer and Mr Barth being at school events. I just thought it was like that at every school, but now i relize how lucky we are that the administration is so involved in their students.

I agree with Hillary, Kayla, and Sam that Mr. Barth has a really great sense of humor. Like one day at lunch, when I still had crutches, Mr. Barth decided to play a trick on another injured student (Kam's brother actually) by switching my crutches with his. Not only was it an incredibly funny idea, it actually worked!
I think we all lucked out in having such a great administration.

We are very lucky to have such a great administration who cares about us. Mr Dewar and Mr Barth are both great guys who seem like they love what they do. I also think the fact that we have a really small school makes it easier for them to get involved in ways other principals dont have the chance to.

I was just at the Family Feud fund raiser (which was hilarious) and Mr. Dewar was one of the contestants. They are always around at school events and it shows that they actually care. Also, like sam said, he totally destroyed sean ryan. i saw it. it was intense.

Brian, thank you!!! Mr. Dewar was awesome as a contestant tonight! Mr. Paulus was "Richard Dawson" for the night, a former Family Feud host who always kissed his female contestants on the lips, and when Mr. Paulus greeted Mr. Dewar, Dewar grabbed his face and gave him a big kiss on the cheek! Mr. Dewar is just as humorous as Mr. Barth!

I really do think we have a great administration here at the high school. The teachers take their extra time to coach sports, organize events, and hold after-school clubs and activities. I think that both Mr. Barth and Mr. Dewar are great administrators because they are always open for new opportunities and supportive of every school event we already have. It is great that they take the extra time to go to so many school events, especially since they have little kids and families at home. I think it is great that they are so connected to us as students on a person to person basis. It is a great aspect of the school.

Thanks for the praise.
We like what we do and who we do it with.

The administration is a big pat of why I like Norton High. I think it makes up for the numerous payments we have to make for parking, sports, and clubs.

Like Mike said, the administration helps make NHS more user-friendly. I recently got to talk to the Oxford team of teachers, administrators, and parents about Mr. Barth as a finalist for the principal at OHS. They seemed most impressed with how we told them about how well our administration works together, and how they show up to almost every school sponsored event. It really speaks volumes about what the administration brings to the environment at school when Mr Dewar or Mr Barth come to games after school to support the athletes, or other clubs. They really help uplift the atmosphere at NHS :]

I think what I admire most about our administration is that they do their best to learn everyone's name. With an entire student body to be responsible for, that's no easy task!

Anyway, I appreciate greatly the time and effort Mr. Dewar and Mr. Barth take to really be a part of our school's community. They are anything but "behind the scenes," and that really makes school feel a lot more comfortable and welcoming.

Mr. Zini seems to really want to keep up Mr. Dewar's legacy at the high school. He's going to make a great vice prinicpal.

I think this year's new leadership has been doing a great job!

Our administrators, though new to their roles, are doing a spectacular job!!
