Recyling

We all know that the school budget is going through some tough times. One thing that I have been doing is sending in empty ink cartridges and old cell phones to earn points for our school. I send them to a company called funding factory. The points that are issued can be used to purchase educational items. My goal for this year and next year is to earn enough points to buy white board markers for all the teachers. This will allow us to have a little bit more money in the budget to spend on other things. I need everyone to help me out with this. Please ask people you know to save these items and donate them to the school. You can bring them to me or the items can be dropped off in the main office. I will continue to send these items in over the summer so they can be dropped off in July and August too. Thanks for all your help.

I think that Recycling Empty Ink cartridges is a great way to make money for the school since everyone using printers. I have already turned in many since my mother gets them from her work and I will continue to do so to help raise money for the school

Like what Ravi said, I think this is a great opportunity to help out the school. I continue to bring in ink cartridges if we run out at home or when my mom brings one home for work because she works in a doctor's office. Aka, fax machines, copy machines, and then regular printers, that is why they are so obnoxiously large. But it is a great opportunity so I will continue to bring them in.

Mrs. Taylor is doing a great thing by trying to help all the teachers when she really only has to worry about herself. Like Ricky said, this is a great way to fundraise because everyone does use printers.

I haven't actually recycled any ink cartriges or cell phones, but I'm definitely in favor of the environment. I totally agree with everyone who already commented on this blog. GO ENVIRONMENT! Yay! Like Kayla, I really do think it's great what Mrs. Taylor is doing. Keep up the good work Mrs. Taylor.

Sincerely, Ben Sargent

I agree with Ben that Mrs. Taylor is doing a fantastic job in finding another way to support the environment and our school at the same time! Like Ricky I have already given Mrs. Taylor numerous ink cartridges and a cell phone, and I will continue to give all of my used ones to Mrs. Taylor in her effort to aid the teachers which in turn helps us students learn.

I agree with Casey in that recycling print cartridges are a great way to raise money for our school, we all know that we need it. Its also being enviromentally friendly. Mrs Taylor is doing a great job helping out the school and the enviroment through promoting this. I have some print cartridges that are almost out of ink, which i plan on bring in shortly!

Like everyone else, i think recycling empty ink cartridges is a great way to earn money for our school! Why throw something out when you can exchange it for cash? It's a wonderful way to help the school out, because a little goes a long way.

Like everyone else said, i think that mrs. taylor is doing a great job trying to help our school's budget. I think that this is an awesom idea because like Kyla said, everyone does use printers.I will continue bringing them in to help the school and because we get math money. My mom, like Bri's, brings them home from work too. She works at a doctors office as well so they have tons of things that use ink for :]

It's always a great feeling to know that Mrs. Taylor is doing all she can to make our school a better and more fun place to learn. Our world is constantly changing, and new technologies like the SmartBoard truly facilitate the learning process in this modern society.

People constantly complain about our school's deficiencies (heating, old building, etc.), but if we look past those things, we'll see teachers like Mrs. Taylor who are constantly striving to improve our experience at Norton High.

It makes our school pretty great, really.

I think that recyling ink cartridges is a great way to raise some extra money for our school. If more people acted like Mrs Taylor and took action instead of complaining, i think we would be alot better off. Like Tim said, even though we may not be the richest school we certainly have great teachers who work hard to make sure we still enjoy our experience in high school.

I agree with what Kelley said about the teachers in the school. It's good to know that a majority of them care about our education and our school. And ink cartridges are easy to recycle and something many people use up quickly, especially with school projects and essays.
