Baseball season has begun

Boy do I love baseball season. I spent some time in Foxboro this afternooon watching the Norton vs. Foxboro baseball game. It was 2-0 Norton in the 4th when I had to leave. I thought with baseball came the warm weather. This afternoon was anything but warm. I wish I could have stayed for the whole game, but I just couldn't handle baseball and cold weather. I thought football had the cold weather? I hope our boys went on to win the game. If you are reading this and you know the score of the game fill the rest of us in on that.

I definitely agree with you. Baseball should bring warm weather; however, it also brings RAIN....and rain is not something that tennis players are in favor of.

An update on that game. The Norton boys won 3-1. Great start to the 2009 season. Keep it up guys!

Yea, i agree with kevin, we definitely need the "spring" in spring sports. I usually love the rain, but i just got back from track practice, totally drenched!!It's so great that the baseball team is off to a good start though.

Kevin Track kids dont like it either but hey its better running in rain than 90 degrees and humid

Kevin is right, with the warm weather always comes the rain and wind, can't wait till summer.

I definitly agree with you Mrs. Taylor! i think that especially now that baseball is starting the weather should be warming up! It is getting a little warmer but the rain is coming too! But i guess April showers bring May flower ! :)

Congrats boys on your first win! It's finally getting warmer out, but now we have all this rain. I would like some nice spring weather to go watch a game! :)

Yeah its been really rainy lately, but I went to my brother's soccer game today and it was nice and sunny.

I don't play any sports so the rain doesn't really affect me until the weekends when I have to walk around Boston to get to orchestra rehersal. On rainy days I get really wet!

Adding to what Kevin said, rain and tennis do not mix. Wind and cold weather is one thing, but when it rains, it is unbelievably frusterating. But on the other hand, the golf courses are starting to look pretty good (:

And also, congrats boys I'm looking forward to going to some games whenever I get some free time.

the baseball team won 6-0 yesterday and today we have a big game against westwood who is the state champions from last year hopefully we can pull on out!

To Taylor....usually I dislike rain but I love to run in it. Its nice when it just a light shower, not so much when it is down-pouring though. I remember one time when I went running in the rain. I came back to find that the fronts of my legs were bright red while the backs of them were perfectly normal, haha. (the cold rain was hitting my legs and turned them red)

To Peter...the golf courses are getting to be nice. They are green again!! (for the most part)

We won yesterday!!! The game was too close for comfort. What happened during the ninth?!?! I have a love hate relationship with the Soxs right now.

Yesterday was 70 degrees! I like warm weather, but I'm not looking forward to running track in 90+ degrees. I haven't watched any Norton baseball games, but I usually go to a Red Sox game at least once during the season!

Pete's got it right. Tennis is a hard sport to play when it's rainy and windy. It's even worse when the sun gets in your eyes...

Yeah, bad weather definitely spoils the fun in watching a baseball game. I don't really mind the nasty weather during sports such as football, but when its baseball season I look forward to sunny weather.

I agree with Julia, rain does make you wet, especially if you walk in it for a long time.

The Red Sox vs. Yankees games were exciting to watch this week! I don't know if I like it being 90 degrees though and sunburns aren't too fun either. At least it's warm weather to run outside for track!

I agree with Eric, that rain does make you wet, and want to add that if you don't walk in it, you don't get wet!

I love baseball, but this year I am not following the Red Sox. I have been intensely watching the Celtics. There has been some pretty great games!

Like Kevin mentioned, it is really hard to play tennis in the rain! Well, a lot of sports are hard to play in rain and cold! I hope we have the least amount of rain possible this year!

ooh congrats to the boys on their first win! Like priya i've been watching Celtics not Red Sox!

And Aaron, I totally agree with you on that one! Doing 400s in 90 degree weather was always a good time..

I'm not an intense sports fan but I'll watch baseball with my mom sometimes. And I was watching the Celtics while they were in the playoffs. Now the weather is warmer and I'll hopefully be able to go to some baseball games and support my friends on the team!

Not gonna lie, baseball on the T.V. bores me.
