Walking at LaSalette Shrine

Image
I like to go for a walk every day but I get bored walking around my neighborhood so I drive to Lasalette Shrine in Attleboro, MA and walk around the beautiful grounds. I always like to light a candle for my sister and parents while I am there. Today the walk was made even more enjoyable as I looked at all the holiday decor set up for the annual lights which go on Thanksgiving night. My total walk was just under one mile and there are plenty of benches to just sit relax and take it all in.  Walking around the pond with the water fountains is my favorite part of the walk. And as an added bonus on Saturdays there is a farmers market in the morning right next to the pond.

A Day at the Bruins Game

I went to Boston Monday October 13th for a Bruins game and I wanted to tell you all the Boston experience.  First of all I reccomend you take thte commuter rail into the games at the garden. We took the train from Waltham into North Station which is at the Garden . So convenient and affordable. The train tickets are $10 for unlimited rides on the weekend including the Monday holiday and it was only $6 to park at the train station. That was only $26 for the two of us which is so much cheaper than if we drove into Boston and paid $50 to park at the Garden. Also kept us dry in the rainy weather.  Next I suggest you go to Banners  Restuarant for a meal before the game. You should make reservations to be sure you get a table on game day. Food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. We got a double cheese burger with fries and a fried chicken sandwich with fries and then 2 sodas and the cost was $43. Atmosphere was great with so many overly large TV scre...

Red Sox vs Yankees

Image
I am a big Red Sox fan! I love that they are in the playoffs, and I am really hoping for a win tonight, so the post season goes on. There is one thing about this series that has me pissed off and that is the fact that the Yankees would not let anyone from Massachusetts buy a ticket to any of the 3 games this series. Is that even legal? if it is, why is MLB allowing this to happen? I just feel that this is so wrong!! I can't recall the RedSox team ever doing this. I understand wanting to have hometown advantage so maybe you limit tickets to non-New Yorkers but that's not what they did and the more I write about it, the more upset I get. Any other Red Sox fans feel like this? I say during the regular season next year we don't allow New Yorkers to buy tickets to any games.....no that is wrong and that is not the Red Sox way. We are better than that.
